The Australian Muslim community
is still feeling the effects of the September 11 terrorist attacks. America
has tried hard to dispel the notion that it`s now involved in a war against
Islam. Nonetheless, Muslim communities around the world have had to endure
many acts of violent retribution in the weeks since the World Trade Center
towers collapsed.
In Australia, there is widespread
outrage about what happened on September 11. There`s hostility to the United
States and anger that Muslims are being blamed for the terrorist acts.
