"Women Wise Up" Conference
Thursday 8th -11th of February 2001
University of NSW
"Women Wise Up" conference will be held over 3 days and has a dynamic and outcome oriented agenda.

Participants will be able to:

1) Develop their understanding and expertise with respect to the UN instruments and documents BPFA, OP, ICC and ICPD.

2) Analyse the gains and losses of the Beijing +5 Review process for women in Australia and the Asia Pacific region

3) Contribute to Australian input into sub regional and international outcomes from Beijing +5

When: 
Thursday 8th of February in the evening to noon Sunday 11th of February 2001

Where: 
University of NSW, Kensington, Sydney, NSW

Cost: $120 government $90 individual $70 concession & 10% GST
* Includes full conference cost and daily morning and afternoon tea.
* Accommodation available for $35 per night at the University.
* Cabaret $50 plus 10% GST on all costs

If you can open attachments in Word & Power point - please contact one of the above individuals and they will email you the documents. If you can't please let one of them know your postal address and the conference information will be sent to you.

Although this is a NSW based conference, participation from all women in Australia who support CEDAW and the advancement of women's rights is encouraged.

This conference aims to produce solid outcomes and implementation & monitoring strategies which feed into a national, subregional and regional strategy and ultimately will lead to the next UN review in NY in 2005. An important conference planning meeting will be held in Sydney at the Department for Women within the next few weeks. The organisers are keen to have the input of as many women's groups as possible at this meeting.
