September 2005 As presented at The Powerhouse Museum "Water & Energy Exhibition". • Noiseless wind turbine wins people’s choice award The watts’n’drops exhibition hosted by the NSW Government earlier this month showcased an interesting collection of inventions designed to do two things which are increasingly important in Australia - saving water and electricity.   Arthur O’Connor won a $5,000 People’s Choice Award for his invention of a super-quiet wind turbine. Arthur’s vision is for his turbine to be used as a personal source of energy for people by sitting atop of houses around the country.
